Words just can’t do enough justice to describe the sheer brilliance of India’s batting maestro - Sachin Tendulkar. Having stayed out of international cricket for quite sometime, Sachin Tendulkar announced his return to the game with a classy century against West Indies.
The little master, who had been out of action since March after undergoing shoulder surgery, smashed an aggressive 141 off 148 balls in the day-night one-dayer at the Kinrara Oval, belting 5-sixers in his unbeaten knock. On a pitch of unreliable bounce, Tendulkar played an innings of high technical excellence to craft his 40th(whoooaaa!) one-day hundred.

Yes … my prediction has finally come true ! Team Azzurri have done it again and are world champions for the fourth time after beating France 5-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in Berlin’s Olympiastadion. It was Italy’s first successful shoot-out in a FIFA World Cup after previous failures in 1990, 1994 and 1998.
I have never had such moments while posting a blog entry … it’s like I am lost for words ! I am still engulfed in the Euphoria !
Three months ago, at a bar in South Kensington, I declared my hidden support for Italy. It was then, that I predicted that Italy would win the World Cup. Well, they haven’t won the cup as yet, but today’s semi-final has left me spell bound. I haven’t seen Italy play like that in the whole of last month !!
Italy knew they could not afford to take on Germany in a penalty contest. In FIFA World Cups German efficiency does not permit failure from 12 yards – they have come out on top in every penalty showdown they’ve contested while Italy have known only suffering: three defeats in three. So if the Azzurri were going to march on to Berlin on 9 July they had to do the business before the 120 minutes were up.
Why you may ask, and the simple reason to this is because I play football. Yeah, and I absolutely love it. The last time I played football with so much enthusiasm (or for that matter the last time I played football) was when I was in college, and that’s like 3 years ago.

You can now register at Joga and once logged in you can start creating your own profile, have your own blog, create albums, upload videos, make your fav11, and much more…
Some might ask what the hell is that title supposed to mean ?
But those of you who watch cricket with a passion(even without) will surely be able to make out what(or should I say who) I am referring to.
