Excerpt from a speech by Thomas Friedman of The New York Times….
When we were young kids growing up in America, we were told to eat our vegetables at dinner and not leave them. Mothers said, ‘think of the starving children in India and finish the dinner.’ And now I tell my children: ‘Finish your maths homework. Think of the children in India who would make you starve, if you don’t.’

It is such a shame that ministers like Arjun Singh and others who side with him (read wierdos) will do anything to woo the backward classes of India. Just becuase the OBC’s form a sizeable chunk of the voting population, these losers will put the entire nation at stake to make sure they have their ‘khursis’ under their shitty ass !
In one of the most recent propositions, they plan to increase the already high (27%) OBC quota in premiere educational istitutes to a whopping 50% !
I decided to write on this topic after it became a huge debate in the yahoo grp. I belong to.
I never knew Contemporary art would pique such curiosity and interest in me !
It all started with my visit to the National Portrait Gallery at Trafalgar Square today. Luckily for me, one of our prospective clients’ called for a meeting at the basement cafe in NPG. While waiting for our guest, my colleague asked me whether I would be interested in having a look at the Art display once the meeting was done … to which I replied, “I aint too sure”, took a moment and said again, “Art has never been a priority”. (If only I knew, how drastically this was to change)
Having just finished a long session of chat (over the dinner table) discussing how people react to strangers on phone and elsewhere, I was pleasantly surprised when I recieved a forward from a friend showcasing Calvin’s Telephone ettiquettes. Sometimes I think, is it that God knows what you have been upto and sends you something right when you think about it? Or is it the work of some supernatural powers? Or is it just ME?? Or is it a simple coincidence? Whatever, it is … you go ahead enjoy the strips !
Having been known by its initials more than the name itself America Online has now decided to change its name to AOL Inc. It is said that this is a move majorly marked at building a larger international following.
While checking my mails today, I came across a forward which had quite a profound message being circulated - Save Trees! Its surprising how we have almost forgot about the importance of their existance.
Following is a brilliant Ad showcasing the cause :
Some Gyan (was forced to read more about trees!)
* Did you know that each one of us requires 625 square feet surface area of greenery to produce our daily oxygen needs?
Some might ask what the hell is that title supposed to mean ?
But those of you who watch cricket with a passion(even without) will surely be able to make out what(or should I say who) I am referring to.
Here is a cool piece of video from YouTube.com .. taken from the recent ind-pak series … ! Inzamam became the 2nd pakistani to be given out obstructing the field. (trivia - who was the 1st one? Answers can be lft in comments section)
I don’t know whether this is true or not … but it surely is funny !
Check it out …
