Another keyword getting me decent traffic …

I happened to check my stats after a long time and was surprised to see a lot of traffic come by for a term which has like 126,000,000 (w/o quotes) competitive pages on Google! The search happens to be for “top 50 companies” and I did a post on a report by BusinessWeek. Here is a screenshot for all those who visit my blog for any SEO info!

Googled and Doodled on Independence Day …

First of all, a very happy 60th Independence day (belated) to all my fellow Indian readers.

I had no particular intentions of writing a post on the 15th of August this year, because I was more interested in being a part of the celebrations. It was after a gap of 3 years that I was in India for the Independence day and I wanted to make the most of it! I had a decent time yesterday, although it was no where close to what we used to do when we were at school. I also watched a brilliantly made film called “Chak de India” which added in its own sweet way to the flavour of Independence day celebrations.

My Thoughts About P3nis Enlargement & Some Stats …

Okay, I’ll agree that the title is not exactly one the most fancy ones that I have managed to pull out, but read on and you’ll get the essence …

I just got back from yet another of my “leisure roams” and decided to “surf up” before hitting the bed. Well, having decided not to do any work I took the liberty to check my virtual spaces on Orkut and Facebook as well as dabble around in some of the forums that I actively participate in.

Cody Moya’s Unethical Bribe?

Cody Moya at FreeInternetMarketingCourses.com recently announced in an email the benefits of commenting on his blog. His subject line says - “Saumil, Here is how to have free link on my PR4 and high traffic page”. In his mail, he goes on to explain how he has added a new wordpress plugin which shows the “top commentors” on the main page of his blog and hundreds of other pages.

While this is surely a valid claim, and people who do end up as the top commentors will get some footage on Moya’s blog; what caught my attention was the somewhat dodgy subject line.

Some Updates …

Here is something new for those of you who have got used to my flashy post titles. This one, as you can see is very simple … so then why have I used it? Well, there are quite a few reasons, the foremost being the context of this title is much more than just me talking about some generic updates in my life. But more than that, I used it ‘coz I couldn’t come up with anything else. (there you go!)

So, rather than doing an essay type post, lemme do a quick list here …

Internet Marketers Backlash: Sherman Hu v/s Wordpress Matt

I would admit to the fact that I just love Wordpress and I believe it is one of those amazing apps that turn people into Evangelists! And having created or atleast started the entire Wordpress project, Matt Mullenweg has branded himself as a ‘demigod’ in the blogging community… but it seems that something has got Matt pissed. And I believe that something isn’t a bad something!

It turns out that, Matt has sent Sherman Hu (who is a well known Internet Marketer) a cease and desist letter, asking him to stop violating WordPress’ trademark and intellectual rights — apparently for using the word “WordPress” in his domain name -WordpressTutorials.com

How IE7 forced me to change my blog …

Couple of days back, I decided to download and install the all new Microsoft Internet Explorer 7. And I must say, that I have been greatly impressed. After having used FireFox(while I was in Dubai) for quite sometime, I became quite a fan of tabbed browsing, and when I saw that IE7 has incorporated the same, I was really glad that I could now use IE with the FireFox like feature. And that’s not all … IE7 comes packed with all features fire-foxy. To list a few, it has support for RSS feeds, improved user interface, inbuilt search and also the ability to have add-ons (IE7 Addons). Although, the add-on’s would not quite compare to the those we have for FireFox, but it sure is a great move. Infact I even found a Internet Marketing Toolbar called the VRE Toolbar.

My Diwali Day …

Over a fortnight has passed since I last blogged and it isn’t the lack of news or ideas that kept me away from posting away on my Babble Belt. Infact I must have come across almost a dozen ‘bloggable’ ideas, but I never really got of to a start. That’s bad on my part … I agree … I could have atleast done a “Happy Diwali” post, like my buddy Kedar did. But, believe me this was one of the longest Diwali I have ever had !

Jawed Karim : The 3rd of YouTube.com’s Three Founders

Ohh Yeah, there is one more ‘King Ka-ching’ behind the whole $1.65bn YouTube.com acquisition by the Big G. Like most of the people(including my friend Kedar) , I too have been closely following the Google takeover, and there is a whole lot being said about the deal. But very few people actually know that there is a 3rd founder involved with the YouTube team.

YouTube founders Chad Hurley, Steven Chen and Jawed Karim

My 1st Film Looplet …

After having seen almost over a hundred different looplets all over the web, I finally got around to downloading FilmLoop software. Why didnt I do that earlier … well, well … the silly me always believed that FilmLoop just works with Flickr, and I am (surprisingly) not much of a flickr fan or user.

But anyways, now that I have ridden myself of the misconception, I would advise one and all to check out the slick tool they have at FilmLoop. Its very easy to use and generates fascinating flash looplets which can be hosted on your blogs, websites and myspace pages. And for all you Web2.0 fans, I am sure you’ll love the Web2.0ish features of this software.
