Google becomes #1 Spot for MBA’s
Want to attract MBAs? Be more like Google !!
It was only a couple of months back when I was going through my friend Anuj’s application essays to ISBand was particularly intrigued by a question. The question was “You are applying to your dream job after ISB. Please prepare a cover letter accompanying your CV.”
Although Anuj, did a wonderful job at answering the question, I started to think what could have been my answer to the same question. And soon enough I had my mind convinced on drafting a cover letter to the ‘Big G’.
Well, it seems that everybody wants to work for Google. After leaping into the No. 1 slot this year on Fortune’s annual list of the 100 Best Companies to work For, the company turns out to be tops with MBA students as well. For the first time on Fortune.com’s list of 100 Top MBA Employers, more respondents say they’d rather work for Google than for traditional magnets McKinsey (ending its 11-year reign at No. 1), Goldman Sachs, and Bain & Co.
Google rose from 129th place in 2005 to second in 2006. The 5,451 MBA students surveyed this year listed industry leadership, attractive locations, and innovation as the key factors they associate most with a desirable employer.
So what is it that makes Google the #1 company to work for? Just take a look at Why Google is #1 and see for yourself !!
