And the Babble Continues …

Well … Well … that was a really long break from the world of blogging. I had last posted an entry on the 15th of November last year. Between then and now, much has happened so let me give you a very quick update.
One of the most important things that has changed is …. I have city hopped again. This time from London to my home town Baroda. I am now in Baroda and have set-up a firm called Whirlwind. Whirlwind is a start-up close to my heart and offers progressive services like search engine marketing, online campaign management and corporate web(blog) development amongst a host of other services. In the first 2 months of its existence we have ramped up 7 clients and are on our way to expand further.
I have also had a really torrid time with maintaining the blog while I wasn’t blogging … sounds funny ain’t it? But really, I wanted to make some changes to my blog and messed up PHP code. Not just that, my blog was then attacked by some Syrian Hacker Attack and I lost all my posts. Thankfully, I had backed up my posts and they have all been restored, albeit without any pictures which made the posts that much more “sticky”. I am slowly trying to upload the pictures again, as and when I find the time.
The good part about all the above was, I finally managed to get my blog to be the way I wanted it to be. I had a custom theme made according to my needs, and also have had put in a lot of Web 2.0 features. I hope you like the new look and the features, do drop in your views about what you like and what you don’t!
In between all of these, I also managed to conduct yet another Internet Marketing bootcamp with my pal Daniel Wagner and a bunch of amazingly talented people at Holiday Inn, London. It was a great weekend and I had an amazing time even when I just slept six hours in three days, and survived mainly on Red Bull! After coming back to India, I spent some quality time in Mumbai with my friends, followed by a trip to Hyderabad to visit my friend Venkat and then had a whirlwind time when my all my relatives landed in Mumbai (from London) for a cousin’s wedding. I also managed to take a nice little vacation in Singapore with my friends Anuj, Mish, Mahesh and Sumedha.
So, that’s pretty much it … I look forward to blogging much more regularly now. I have also updated the “About Me” section, so drop by and leave a comment!
P.S. I was actually looking for an alternate picture to use in this blog post. It’s a shot from the movie Independence Day, when Randy Quaid (Russel Casse, in the movie) screams Ha-ha-ha! Hello, boys! I’m back! and rockets into the Alien mothership blowing it up!! If someone has that picture or manages to screen capture one, please send it to me :)

Update: It feels good when people who read your blog actually make an effort to send you stuff that you ask for … it happened earlier when I had asked for a contribution to a fund which would allow me to buy more books. It was a fun event, but I ended up getting a free book on Amazon. Anyways, this time around my friend Ujwal has actually gone through the trouble of playing Independence Day - The Film, on his comp and grabbing this image …lol! Thanks, a lot.
