The Master Returns …

Words just can’t do enough justice to describe the sheer brilliance of India’s batting maestro - Sachin Tendulkar. Having stayed out of international cricket for quite sometime, Sachin Tendulkar announced his return to the game with a classy century against West Indies.

The little master, who had been out of action since March after undergoing shoulder surgery, smashed an aggressive 141 off 148 balls in the day-night one-dayer at the Kinrara Oval, belting 5-sixers in his unbeaten knock. On a pitch of unreliable bounce, Tendulkar played an innings of high technical excellence to craft his 40th(whoooaaa!) one-day hundred.

PowerToys for You, and for Me and the Entire Human Race …

I have such fond memories of an Annual Concert we had back in my school days, the theme for which was “Heal The World”, that each time I think of sharing something worthwhile the famous words by MJ - ” … for you and for me and the entire human race” indubitably occur to my mind ! Although this post has nothing to do with MJ or his songs, but the title just happened instinctively when I thought about this post … I like it, and so it stays .. :)

The Legend Steve Irwin - R.I.P.

Steve “The Crocodile Hunter” Irwin’s death on 4th of September, came as shock to many animal lovers, as the world lost a wonderful character. Steve Irwin, the khaki-clad wildlife stalker who won global fame with his televised death-defying crocodile stunts and whose booming voice made “Crikey!” in a ripe Australian accent an international catchword, was killed by a stingray while filming a documentary at the Great Barrier Reef off Australia’s northeast coast. This post is a tribute to a truly magnificent person, that Steve was ! May God bless his soul.

R.I.P. mate - you’ll be missed !

Nehru and Indira held India back?

I came across a rather debatable article written by Dr. Jay Dubashi, where he claims that Nehru and Indira were scared of Indian businessmen getting too big for their boots. So they tried to keep them deliberately down !

The event will be a unique theme as Unconferences are immensely popular because of active participation of attendees, where everyone will be encouraged to have conversations around areas that interest them. Chaotic as that sounds, it sparks off many new ideas and is a whole lot of fun.

Step Into The Light With Polaroid …

While surfing through the vast blogosphere, I happened to visit a post on Polaroid-o-nizer by Arpit Jacob at his BlueSaze Blog.

Its a nifty lil’ tool that allows to make polaroid pictures from your exisitng photos. The only downsides … Allows to convert only online photos and you’ll have a tough time saving the pics as JPG. My advice try the bitmap option ! Worth a visit … check it out at Polaroid-o-nizer

Following are a couple of photos that I polaroid-o-nized … I converted one of my online images and tagged it as ‘Buff’ .. ;) … don’t know how many votes that’ll get, but the second one is tagged “Bare Buff” and it sure is !!

Talk To Me - Right Here, Right Now !

Okay all you Abhishek Bachchan fans can take a break !

Although I would love to rap and act as cool as him … I know it would be a failing attempt. Being a wordpress plugin junkie [aren’t we all??] that I am, I had this urge to have this plugin added to my ever-growing list of plugins, since quiet some time! Now, that its added … I am on the look for something equally cool !

I have been spending a lot of time at the Urban Dictionary lately … sometimes it becomes a requirement when you try and mix with your cousins’ mates (read uber teens)! by the way … check out the site .. its the baddest !
