Internet World 2006 : Business for the Digital Age

Come 9th May, and I’ll be preparing myself for a trip to Earls Court to be a part of the Internet World Event. Boasting 150 keynotes and case studies to be delivered by some of the best brains in the industry and over 200 leading exhibitors … Internet World 2006 surely makes a must visit on my daily dairy !

Interesting would be to comment on their claim which goes …

Has there ever been a more important time to invest a day at Internet World?

Here is what IW has to say - Frankly, we doubt it. Remarkably, the promise of the internet is being realised in a way that exceeds the projections of even the most bullish of dot com analysts. And whether the much-debated Web 2.0 turns out to be hot stuff or hot air, the transformative momentum of the internet appears unstoppable.

Commentary : Well, considering the advances made in the digital arena it could be safely assumed that such an event is like the ‘need of the hour’ ! With growing ad spends on search engines and increasing awareness for merging online and offline strategies, who would argue on ‘not investing’ a day at such an event.

Its a 3-day event, and I would ideally end up visiting on all 3-days having made a detailed list of keynotes I would like to attend. There is also a lot on the offerings it seems … I just recieved a promo mail promising me the opportunity to win an iPod, pick up a USB drive, grab a mouse mat and even have a smoothie!

Or check out the Viral game, which pits you against a team of your choice. I havent checked the latest scorecard, but I was number 1 before I slept yesterday … keeping my fingers crossed ! If I win, i’ll get a VIP access pass … whoaa !

Will surely post about the event and the seminars post-11th may.

If you are in UK, and even remotely interested in Online marketing, Search, CMS, Email marketing, etc. make sure to be at this event. And if you make it to the event, I would love to meet you … !
